Rolling, rolling festive and holidays

Passing Skogar in South Iceland. 31.12.2018

It was a big surprise the festive and holidays around Christmas and New Year turned out the busiest time ever for our company. Most of the days all three busses were somewhere on the run, either on South Coast to the ice cave of Vatnajökull, on Golden Circle or around Snaefellsnes Peninsula. We were lucky to find driverguides or drivers who helped to fulfill those tours. Over those 14 verey busy days the snow was more or less missing and the roads were mostly clear what made it easier. There weren’t many storms but In the morning of the last day of the year it was difficult to pick up guests in Reykjavik due to strong winds. We could be happy no door blew away! The program on New Years day had finally to be changed and The group staid at Hotel Dyrholaey instead in South East. Our guests got a wonderful sunny afternoon, a romantic sunset and the Northern Lights around midnight of New Years Eve. One night, the 4th January all vehicles were home and it looked they could be cleaned and inspected properly. But the 5th a new request came in and 4×4 Sprinter needed a quick cleaning as it starts for a circle around Iceland…

After many days all vehicles were at home for one single night. 05.01.2019

Best Travel wants to take the chance to thank all guests, booking companies trusting in us and drivers working for us. Even it’s late but we were too busy to post: Happy New Year to everybody, have a good and safe drive where ever you go! Of course we would like to meet you (again). Eggert & Marianne
