Longest days and bright nights

Somewhen it’s just a bad idea to go to sleep, especially when the sun is shinging around midnight and goes finally under for a very short time. Gardur is a perfect place to enjoy sunset and the rising sun  beside the two lighthouses and a great view towards North. Did you know the days are getting shorter from now on and as we are close to the arctic circle it’s between 6 and 7 minutes per day? We are not living in total darkness during winter but the days are really short. For this reason we have to enjoy our 24 hours lasting days even more. Somewhen we think we can sleep in winter but this isn’t quite true as we have to search for Northern Lights during dark hours.
