Great views in East Iceland

Our newest Sprinter enjoys the view to Vatnajökull from Almannaskard. 19.08.2019

Another circle around Iceland is ongoing and the past two days we enjoyed  blue sky, a lot of sunshine, hardly any wind and fantastic views during our drives from Höfn to Myvatn. East Iceland had for some time to fight with dull weather but my group and me were very lucky and grateful for the weather we got.We are travelling on our newest Sprinter and it seems to like to explore the country as much as I like to drive it. Close to Höfn we drove up Almannaskard to have a last look at Vatnajökull glacier, got Mount Vestrahorn in a fantastic light, found later time to drive out little bit Reydarfjördur to have a view from Holmahals and to see where I grew up before bringing few guest to airport in Egilsstadir. The next day we saw volcano Herdubreid, the queen of the mountains very clearly and did a nice walk to Dettifoss where we found Jökulsagljufur with a strong rainbow. I’m very pleased if I can offer my guests days like this and nothing is better than to see everybody happy on tour. Best of Iceland is coming soon from Faroe Islands by ferry to Seydisfjördur and we will have a closer look to the Eastern part of Iceland. Let’s keep fingers crossed to get the same weather for those days.
